I enjoy extreme
nature. My playground is the Llano Estacado including Palo Duro Canyon. Most
people don't realize what secrets are hidden in the Texas Panhandle. No matter where I go, I'm always looking for hidden beauty.
Psalm 139:8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
Look
around the site and see a bit of what I've seen.
I'm Bary Nusz, AKA
Nerdy Native.
I'm a native–born
Texan and a Cherokee citizen. Some call me the Nerdy Native.
In Cherokee that
loosely translates to Asamadi Tsalagi.
I love exploring and taking photos and video of what I see. I'll drive hours away to document a 12–mile tall severe storm spitting out large hail and tornadoes. I'll hike 20 miles to search out hidden slot canyons along the Texas Llano Estacado.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
Why do I run toward extreme nature and weather? When I was 7 years old, a tornado struck my house. It tore up some trees and went down the street to take the roof off my best friend's house. Ever since I've been fascinated with extreme nature of all types: Weather, Rugged Landscapes, Oceans, and Space. I'm also a gadget guy. I've embraced my nerdy disposition and chosen to document the extreme nature I witness with the latest in cameras and technology. This site is now a way for me to share just a hint of that extreme nature with you.
